Nike+ iPod Nano and iPod Touch

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

Nike and Apple have teamed up to offer a running kit that will track your running stats through an iPod Nano and now the iPod Touch. Soon to come will be the Nike+ capability on the iPhone and iPhone 3G. The kit from Nike is $29.00 and then you need to own a pair of Nike+ shoes or buy the shoe pouch that attaches to any shoe. Learn all about the capabilities here. I’ve been using the product for a while now and love it.

MacBook Air

Friday, June 27th, 2008

I bought the MacBook Air back in April to use as a work machine when I travel. It’s the perfect size for traveling. It compliments my other Macs nicely. I only store temporary files on the machine and move them to a permanent hard drive when I am local. I didn’t buy the optional super drive for it. I rarely use CDs or DVDs anymore. Most of the stuff I need is on a .Mac (soon to be MobileMe) account or on a VPN. This machine replaced a Macbook.

For normal day-to-day assignments I alternate between a MacPro, 15″ & 17″ MacBook Pro, a PowerMac G5, and a Mac Mini. I recommend this machine if you need a lightweight machine for travel or if you don’t do a lot of graphic design or video editing. It sure is nice carrying this on a plane as opposed to a 17″ MBP.

New iPhone 3G

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Apple has just announced it will be releasing the iPhone 3G on July 11th. I’ll report back with a review once I try it out. It has GPS and it’s only $199!! Seems like a great deal to me. I paid twice as much for the original iPhone, this one has more features, better battery life, and a faster network.

Check out a full list of features at http://www.apple.com/iphone.
