Thursday, June 26th, 2008

I just picked up one of these for my office. It connects to my Mac via USB port and allows me to connect to the internet anywhere I am. It runs on AT&T’s 3G service. I’m going to try it out over the weekend down at the beach. More details on the product here. I’ll report back with my review.

I’m writing this post using the AT&T’s 3G Network down on a private beach in the small state of Rhode Island. I have the USBCONNECT 881 plugged into a 17″ Macbook Pro. I was skeptical about the speed before trying it out, but WOW! It is surprisingly quick. Not sure I’ll ever have a vacation again because of this thing, but for the time being it is really helpful to have.

New iPhone 3G

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Apple has just announced it will be releasing the iPhone 3G on July 11th. I’ll report back with a review once I try it out. It has GPS and it’s only $199!! Seems like a great deal to me. I paid twice as much for the original iPhone, this one has more features, better battery life, and a faster network.
