Please check out Modality (http://www.modalitylearning.com) for a number of iPhone applications geared toward people (students & professionals) in the Medical and Law industries, students K-12, and world travelers. Came across an alternative to Google Analytics and Urchin today. The product is called Mint (http://www.haveamint.com). “Mint is an extensible, self-hosted web site analytics program. Its interface is an exercise in simplicity. Visits, referrers, popular pages and searches can all be taken in at a glance on Mint’s flexible dashboard” (Source). The product costs $30 per site.

Here is a great free way to manage your finances. Mint.com offers a secure web-based money management tool for consumers.

Here are just a few of the features offered through Mint:
Here is a great article on connecting multiple macs to one iTunes library.
Ever wonder how fast your Intenet connection really is? Speakeasy offers a great free tool to test just how fast of a connection you actually have. My home Internet connection was actually higher than what my ISP advertises.

I am a frequent shopper at Other World Computing – http://www.macsales.com. They have a huge an excellent online store full of Mac accessories, hardware, and upgrades. They also have tutorials on installing hardware. Their prices are reasonable and their shipping is fast. If you have an old mac that you want to upgrade, OWC has guides that help you select the right upgrade hardware for your model.

I bought the MacBook Air back in April to use as a work machine when I travel. It’s the perfect size for traveling. It compliments my other Macs nicely. I only store temporary files on the machine and move them to a permanent hard drive when I am local. I didn’t buy the optional super drive for it. I rarely use CDs or DVDs anymore. Most of the stuff I need is on a .Mac (soon to be MobileMe) account or on a VPN. This machine replaced a Macbook.
For normal day-to-day assignments I alternate between a MacPro, 15″ & 17″ MacBook Pro, a PowerMac G5, and a Mac Mini. I recommend this machine if you need a lightweight machine for travel or if you don’t do a lot of graphic design or video editing. It sure is nice carrying this on a plane as opposed to a 17″ MBP.
